Fair Isle is of one the Shetland Islands and a hidden gem just 3 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. Nestled where the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea meet, it is the most remote inhabited island in the UK with less than 50 permanent residents.
As you board the Viking II from North Haven bay, you would be forgiven for thinking that you were on a tropical island with its white sand beach, turquoise waters and seals curiously watching nearby.
As you set sail, you will discover a coastline that is stunningly beautiful. From a paradise of birds, pods of marine mammals and shores of fish to dramatic sea stacks, geos and cliffs with colonies of birds in their thousands … you are guaranteed a unique experience and memories that will last a lifetime.

CHARTERING THE VIKING II
The Viking II can be chartered for private boat tours for individuals and groups of up to 4 people. You have the option of booking a 1.5 hours tour for £100 or a 2.5 hours tour for £150.

Booking
If you would like to experience a boat tour on the Viking II, simply get in touch with me once you arrive on Fair Isle. That will allow us to find a mutually convenient day when favourable sailing conditions are forecast. No deposit is required to book the tour and payment can be made in cash on the day.
Please remember that the weather and sailing conditions around Fair Isle can be changeable, so I cannot guarantee a tour due to variables outwith my control. However, I will always try my best to make it happen for you.

ISLAND STORE, POST OFFICE & ATM
Springfield Cottage is available to book on a self-catering basis. Stackhoull Stores is Fair Isle’s local shop which is well stocked with food, drinks, toiletries and other provisions. The Post Office is also housed within the store and is the only location on the island where cash can be withdrawn.
The opening times are:

Wed 9:30-16:30 & 14:00-16:30
Fri 9:30-12:30
Sat 9:30-12:30
