The waters around Fair Isle are some of the cleanest and most richly stocked in the UK, with a vast array of fish and crustaceans including: cod, crab, haddock, halibut, lobster, mackerel, pollock … the list goes on.

The Viking II boat can be chartered for private fishing trips for individuals and groups of up to 4 people. You have the option of booking a 1.5 hours trip for £100 or a 2.5 hours trip for £150.

All fishing equipment is provided and i’m more than happy to share my knowledge to help you get the most out of your fishing experience.

Chartering the Viking II is simple:

STEP 1: Click on the ‘Book Now’ button below and complete the reservation form. You can also book boat tours on the same form, if you wish, so no need to submit a booking twice. No deposit is required to reserve the Viking II.

STEP 2: I will acknowledge your booking via email and am happy to answer any questions that you have.

STEP 3: When you arrive on Fair Isle, I will liaise with you to schedule a trip on a mutually convenient day when favourable sailing conditions are forecast. Payment can be made in cash on the day.

Please note that cash can only be withdrawn on the island at the Post Office within Stackhoull Stores. The store is well stocked with food, drinks, toiletries and other provisions.

The opening times are:

Mon 9:30-12:30 & 14:00-16:30

Wed 9:30-16:30 & 14:00-16:30

Fri 9:30-12:30

Sat 9:30-12:30

Fair Isle is famous for its folk music with many professional musicians born and bred here. I’m proud to say that several of my family members are acclaimed musicians worldwide and I have shared their music throughout my website to let you listen while you browse.
